Robert McNamara

Robert McNamara is a Managing Director in Accenture Strategy and recently served as the North America Sustainability Practice Lead.  Robert focuses on helping commercial and public sector organizations develop and implement strategies and sustainability initiatives that support growth, improve competitiveness, reduce costs, and manage risk.

Robert has over 15 years management consulting experience and has advised clients across industries in both North America and Europe.  He has supported corporations, government agencies, and multi-lateral entities develop their organizational and sustainability strategies, improve their operational performance, develop new capabilities, and create transformation programs that drive social, environmental, and financial benefits.  He has authored articles on sustainability for Accenture, including Climate Resilience Goes Digital.  In addition, he has experience in areas such as strategic planning, organization change and stakeholder management, performance management, merger and acquisitions, growth strategies, and cost reduction.  Robert is currently focused on developing strategic solutions for Federal Government agencies.

Prior to joining Accenture, Robert worked at JP Morgan Chase Bank and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.  

Robert has Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Strategy, Finance, and International Business.  He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two children.
